The best solution of all is to redraft the terms of your loan. It is important that you take action sooner rather than later. If you call your lender soon, you may be able to work out a loan modification with your lender. Sometimes lenders will accept late payments without penalties. By the time you have already missed three or four payments, it is probably too late. Once the foreclosure process has begun, the lender has already invested time and energy to go down that path and they may be apprehensive about changing direction.
